This time I would like to tell you about the tenth week of industrial training as a practical teacher at Tadika Syaz Gong Badak.
19 September 2021 (Sunday)
For a start for my last week of practicum at Tadika Syaz, I chose to teach the children about what plants need to survive. I have created a teaching aids that allows children to see it clearly because it has a visual element. The teaching aids are Plant Need Stick. Given that in making teaching aids, an educator needs to emphasize some important elements. For example, the teaching aids must be multifunction. Plant Need Stick can not only be used as teaching aids only, but also can be used as an activity in step 2.
Judging from the effectiveness of teaching aids during this teaching and learning process, I need to increase the number of teaching aids like this in the future.
20 September 2021 (Monday)
I choose to teach about the days of the week. To improve children's understanding of a learning, I have used the days of the week spinner. However, the spinner does not attract children in terms of color because the base of the spinner is only white. I should have colored it first to make it more interesting and colorful. This happened because I completed the spinner in such a short amount of time. It caused me not to emphasize the elements I needed to focus on. In the future, I need to be more careful with these things.
21 September 2021 (Tuesday)
Tuesday is a day to do activities at Tadika Syaz Gong Badak. I have prepared an activity where children have to color a worksheet to make a face mask. The image on the worksheet is a picture of the face and graduation hat. This activity is an activity for children to express their creativity through coloring. Children are required to color the worksheet according to their respective creativity. I found that the children were able to color the drawing without getting out of line. It is means children can control eye-hand coordination well. After finishing the coloring activity, children are required to cut the worksheet by following the lines that have been shown using a scissor.
Some children can cut it well, but there are a few children who give up without effort because they are not confident in using scissors. So I had to think of ways to help children use scissors through appropriate activities.

22 September 2021 (Wednesday)
Given that I had found that some children did not dare to use scissors. Therefore, I have prepared a scissoring activity for the children. Children are required to cut various levels of lines that I had prepared. The levels range from easy to difficult.
Children need to be taught by level to ensure that they master one level before mastering another. However, I made the mistake of not observing all the children doing the scissoring activity that caused a child to drop out. Things like this should not happen in the teaching and learning process. It happened because I was just standing in the same place and taking care of the paper that the children had cut. In the future, I have to walk around all the children to guide them so that no children are left out in doing activities.

23 September 2021 (Thursday)
On the last day of the practicum at Tadika Syaz, I chose to make a stamping activity using a straw made like a flower shape. The straw was pre-cut by me and distributed to the children. This activity is a free activity for children to express their creativity. The children have produced beautiful work even though the straw has a few defects. I am proud of the children for continuing the activity with enthusiasm.
Since today is the last day as a practical teacher at the Tadika, I am very grateful to have been given a practicum place that has helped me a lot in many ways. All the teachers there are not stingy to share their knowledge and are very friendly. The experience gained will always be appreciated and used in the future.
