This time I would like to tell you about the tenth week of industrial training as a practical teacher at Taska Syaz Gong Badak.
28 November 2021 (Sunday)
For the first day in last week of practicum at Taska Syaz Gong Badak, I had chosen to do an activity which is sticker shape. This activity require the children to stick the sticker that had been provided by following the line of three shapes on the shapes worksheet. The sticker had been used is in colorful and it is attracting the children's interest. The children start to asks the sticker from teacher. However, the activity did could not be fully carried out as I had to attend a discussion on permanent employment at the Tadika and Taska Syaz Gong Badak. This should not have happened, I should have finished the activity first and not left the child alone without observation. This should not happen in the future.
29 November 2021 (Monday)
Today I did not provide any activities because today was the other practical teacher's turn to create the activities. While the children were doing activities, other children did not do activities because they were one year old who were already can walk. Therefore, I felt that as a teacher, I must always have the idea to create activities for other children so they can also enhance their development holistically. Planned activities are not necessarily activities that need to use teaching aids. Activities can also be done without materials that require body movements such as doing locomotor movements. Therefore, I need to make sure that children in that category also do activities that stimulate their development.
30 November 2021 (Tuesday)
Before start the activity, I had asked the Taska's Supervisor that about permission to play outside with the children. It is first time to us playing outside with the children. I need to get permission before proceed with the activity. I got the permission and after breakfast, the children got instruction to get their shoes. The children had shown happy and excited facial expression as they can play freely at the outside. But, I and other teacher's keep our eyes on the children as afraid if anything unexpected occurred.
1 December 2021 (Wednesday)
The other practicum teacher had carried out an experiment with the children which is volcano experiment. I found that this types of activity is interesting and the children will get the chances to do the experiment by themselves which is hands-on activity. Hands-on activities let the children' minds grow and learn based on the experiences and the environment they are exposed to. It is shows that the experiment activity can helps the children to explore by seeing the results by themselves. Through this activity, the teacher had instilling a love of science in the children's mind from the young age.
2 December 2021 (Thursday)
Today is the last day of me and my friends as practicum teacher at Taska Syaz Gong Badak. Many knowledge and experience had been gather for the using in the future. The teachers at Taska Syaz is very friendly and helps us in various aspects. I am thankful for had them throughout my practicum journey for term 2. From my observation, the differences between theory learning when we had in College is different from the experience that I got in my practicum. As I practicum, I had learn to apply those learning theories in my daily practicum journey. The memories that I got in unforgettable. Thank you for all people that had been with me during my practicum.
